Matthew Simmonds (born in the United Kingdom), known professionally as 4mat, is
an English electronic and chiptune musician, sound designer, and video game
composer. Simmonds launched his career in 1989 within the demoscene, creating
chiptunes using tracker software on the Amiga. In 1991, he composed the piece
“L.F.F.” for the Skid Row cracktro of the game Lemmings. His solo recording
career featured the albums Decades (2010), Surrender (2011), Legacy Trails
