8th Day is an American Hasidic pop rock band based in Los Alamitos, California,
formed in 2004 by the brothers Shmuel and Bentzion Marcus. The group's debut
studio album, Tracht Gut, was released on April 1, 2005. The second album,
Brooklyn, which was mixed by Andy Haller, followed on August 8, 2007. In 2011,
the band gained significant popularity with the release of the studio album
Chasing Prophecy and its lead single “Ya'alili”, whose music video became a
