911 was formed in Glasgow in 1995 by dancers Jimmy Constable and Simon “Spike”
Dawbarn, who later recruited singer Lee Brennan after meeting manager Steve
Gilmour; the trio began touring schools and clubs before establishing Ginga
Records. Their breakthrough came with the April 1996 release of the cover "Night
to Remember", which entered the UK Singles Chart at number 38, followed by "Love
