Abrasive Wheels, a punk rock band from Leeds, England, formed in 1976. Their
name was inspired by Phil "Shonna" Rzonca's engineering apprenticeship. The band
made their first public appearance at a friend's party in 1977 and gained early
traction with support slots for bands like the UK Subs. In 1981, they released
their debut EP, The Army Song, which reached number 35 on the UK Indie Chart.
After several lineup changes, Abrasive Wheels signed to Riot City Records and
released their EP, Vicious Circle, and their first album, When the Punks Go
