Afrika Bibang, born 24 December 1975 in Algorta, Vizcaya, Basque Country, Spain,
is a singer of Equatoguinean descent who became the first black artist to
perform in Basque. Her early exposure to African music, soul, reggae, and jazz
came from her parents, and she learned Basque at sixteen while studying law
before dedicating herself to music. Her career began in 1993 with the reggae
group Ke No Falte and later with Etsaiak; she collaborated with the Brigadiers
