Aida Giulia Teodolinda Castignola (born February 19, 1949), known professionally
as Aida Cooper, is an Italian pop and blues singer from Bettola. Cooper began
her career in 1966 under the pseudonyms Aida Nola and Ida Nola, releasing her
first 45 rpm record, “Molto tempo prima”, in 1967. She worked extensively as a
vocalist for artists including Mina, Zucchero, Eros Ramazzotti, and Loredana
Bertè. In 1983, Cooper collaborated with bluesman Cooper Terry on the album
Feelin' Good, marking a stylistic shift toward the blues. Her solo recording
