Alessandro Britti, born 23 August 1968 in Rome, is an Italian singer‑songwriter
and guitarist whose career began in his teens with blues performances in Rome
before moving to Milan. At 17 he formed his first band, and in 1989 he
established the Alex Britti Blues Band, collaborating with Buddy Miles,
Billy Preston, Louisiana Red and touring Europe with Rosa King. The mid‑1990s
tour with Francesco De Gregori prompted a shift toward a softer rock sound,
leading to his breakthrough single "Solo una volta (o tutta la vita)" in 1998,
