Alicia Bridges, born Alicia Bridges on July 15, 1948 in Charlotte, North
Carolina, is an American singer. From a young age, Bridges showed a talent for
music, learning to play the guitar at ten and hosting her own radio show, The
Alicia Bridges Show, by twelve. Her early career began with two single releases
on Nashville-based Mega Records in 1973. Despite initial lack of success, she
caught the attention of Bill Lowery, who became her manager and helped her sign
