Andrew Carwood was born on April 30, 1965, and is an English musician and choral
conductor. Carwood served as a choral scholar in the Choir of St John's College,
Cambridge under George Guest. His early career included roles as a lay clerk at
Christ Church, Oxford and Westminster Cathedral before becoming Director of
Music at the London Oratory Church. Carwood gained recognition for his
performances of English repertoire, including works by William Byrd and the role
of the Male Chorus in Benjamin Britten's The Rape of Lucretia. Carwood directed
