Andy White, born 28 May 1962 in Belfast, Northern Ireland, is a folk
singer‑songwriter and guitarist whose career began with poetry and songwriting
at nine. His first EP, Religious Persuasion (1985), launched on Stiff Records,
followed by Rave on Andy White (1986) on London Records, recorded near Belfast.
Subsequent releases included Kiss the Big Stone (1988), Himself (1990) on
Cooking Vinyl, Out There (1992) on Warner Music UK, and Destination Beautiful
