Real name Annerley Emma Gordon, British singer Ann Lee was born in Sheffield on
November 12, 1967. She began her career in Italy, where she produced several
singles for the A-Beat-C label under the names Annerley Gordon and Annalise.
Credited with composing Corona's 1993 dance hit "The Rhythm of the Night", she
changed her pseudonym to Ann Lee and recorded her biggest hit, "2 Times" (1998),
which became an international hit the following year, ranking #2 in the UK, #5
in Italy and Germany, #1 in Belgium (Flanders) and Denmark, and #9 in France.
