Antti Juhani Sarpila, born on June 11, 1964, in Helsinki, Finland, is a Finnish clarinet and tenor saxophone player known for his contributions to traditional jazz. He received his first instrumental training from his father, Kari Sarpila, an amateur musician who played tenor saxophone and clarinet. In the 1980s, Sarpila took lessons from Bob Wilber and formed his own swing band in 1982. He performed at Carnegie Hall in 1982 as part of the Tribute to Benny Goodman show.
