Ataru Nakamura, born on June 28, 1985 in Sumida, Tokyo, is a Japanese
singer-songwriter and actor known for deeply personal lyrics and powerful
performances. She began writing songs at age five and took to street performing
during junior high. Nakamura's early recognition came in 2004 when she won the
Grand Prix at the Katsushika Band Festival and later competed in Yamaha’s TEENS'
