Augustines
Augustines, an American indie rock band based in Brooklyn, New York, was formed
in 2010 by guitarist William McCarthy and multi-instrumentalist Eric Sanderson
following the breakup of their previous band, Pela. Their debut album, Rise Ye
Sunken Ships, was released in 2011, and featured themes inspired by McCarthy’s
brother James' suicide. The album received critical acclaim, with the single
"Book of James" being named Single of the Week by both The Sun and Music Fix. In
