Avenue D
Avenue D was an American electroclash duo from Miami, Florida, formed in 2001 by
Debbie D. (Debbie Attias) and Daphne D. (Daphne Gomez-Mena). Based in New York
City, they emerged as part of the electroclash scene and released their debut
single “The Sex That I Need” / “Dancin’” (2003). Their music combined hip hop,
electro, and new wave with sexually explicit lyrics. They released the album
Grade D Beef (2002) and achieved a chart success with the single “Do I Look Like
