Axel Kober
Axel Kober, born on February 10, 1970, is a German conductor who studied at the
University of Music in Würzburg. He began his professional career at the
Schwerin State Theatre in 1994 before holding conducting positions in Dortmund,
Mannheim, and Leipzig. From 2009 to 2024, he served as General Music Director of
the Deutsche Oper am Rhein, and from 2019 he also held the position of General
Music Director of the Duisburg Philharmonic. Throughout his career, he has
