Aynur Doğan, born on March 1, 1975, in Çemişgezek, Tunceli Province, Turkey, is
a contemporary Kurdish singer and musician. She fled to Istanbul in 1992 and
studied saz and türkü singing at the Arif Sağ Müsik school. She released her
album Keçe Kurdan in 2004 on the Kalan Müzik label. In 2010, she released Rewend
and has since collaborated with notable musicians such as Yo-Yo Ma and the Silk
Road Ensemble, Kayhan Kalhor, Javier Limón, Kinan Azmeh, and the Nederland
