Oyinkansola Sarah Aderibigde, better known by her stage name Ayra Starr, is a
Nigerian singer born on June 14, 2002, in Cotonou, Benin. She spent her
childhood there before moving with her family to Lagos. A singer in a choir and
a songwriter for fun, the international relations and political science student
became a model at the age of 16. But it was her singing talent—which she
showcased through videos on the internet, notably the one where she unveiled her
