Author, composer, performer, multi-instrumentalist, Abdelazziz Bekhti alias
Baâziz was born in 1963 in Cherchell, Algeria. Initially an educational
assistant, his rebellious spirit and refusal to accept injustice led to his
dismissal by the principal. He took his first steps on stage in 1989, after
meeting Ksentini, a committed artist from whom he drew much inspiration.
Accompanied by his guitar and harmonica, Baâziz evolved in a protest folk style,
and released a cassette album naturally entitled Le Rebelle in 1992. In 1996, he
