Balance is an American hard rock band formed in New York City in the early
1980s, fronted by Peppy Castro and including guitarist Bob Kulick and
keyboardist Doug Katsaros. Their self-titled debut album, released in 1981 under
Portrait Records, featured the hit single "Breaking Away", which peaked at
number 22 on the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart in the US and reached number 35
in Canada's RPM charts. The band's follow-up single, "Falling in Love", peaked
at number 58 in the US. In early 1982, Balance entered The Power Station to
