Barbara Casini
Barbara Casini is an Italian jazz vocalist and guitarist. Born on July 30, 1954,
in Florence, she began playing the piano at a young age before transitioning to
the guitar and singing covers of songs by artists including The Beatles, Rita
Pavone, and Mina. At age 15, she discovered bossa nova. In 1979, she started
performing Brazilian popular music and jazz, influenced by Elis Regina. She
formed the trio Outro Lado with Beppe Fornaroli and Naco, recording the
