Bauer
Bauer is a Dutch indie rock band from Amsterdam. Formed in 1999 by musician
Berend Dubbe, a former drummer for the group Bettie Serveert, the ensemble
originally emerged from Dubbe’s solo project On the Move (1999). Following the
release of the debut album, Dubbe established a live band and performed as a pop
duo with Sonja van Hamel between 2000 and 2006. In 2000, the group received the
Zilveren Harp award, which recognizes promising Dutch artists. The ensemble’s
musical style transitioned from electropop to orchestral pop during its career.
