Belchior
Antônio Carlos Belchior, known as Belchior, and born on October 26, 1946 in
Sobral, Brazil, was a singer-songwriter. He began his career as a fairground
singer and improviser before moving to Rio de Janeiro in 1971. His breakthrough
came when he won the IV University Festival with "Hora do almoço", performed by
Jorge Melo and Jorge Teles. In 1974, Belchior released his self-titled debut
album. His second album, Alucinacao (1976), has been considered one of the most
