Beto Barbosa
Raimundo Roberto Morhy Barbosa, known professionally as Beto Barbosa, was born
on February 27, 1955, in Belém, Pará, Brazil. He is a Brazilian composer and
vocalist, best known for his contributions to the lambada genre. Barbosa began
his musical career in his hometown of Belém before moving to Fortaleza, Ceará,
where he gained initial success. His breakthrough came in the 1980s with the hit
single "Adocica", which, along with the band Kaoma, sparked a global lambada
