Billie Davies
Billie Davies, born on December 10, 1955, in Bruges, Belgium, is an American
jazz drummer and composer. Introduced to drums by her grandfather at age three,
she grew up influenced by artists like Louis Armstrong and Nina Simone. Davies'
first serious stage performance as a drummer occurred at age 14 when she played
"Power to the People" on plastic buckets and aluminum lids. Davies' discography
includes 12 VOLT (2013), Hand In Hand In The Hand Of The Moon (2015), and On
