Birds of Tokyo are an Australian alternative rock band formed in Perth in 2004.
Consisting of lead singer Ian Kenny, guitarist Adam Spark, bassist Anthony
Jackson, and drummer Adam Weston, the group was born from the ashes of two
popular underground rock acts from Perth: Tragic Delicate and Karnivool. After
releasing an eponymous EP in 2005, they made their studio debut in 2007 with the
album Day One, which won them nationwide recognition and reached Number 3 on the
AIR Independent Albums chart, staying in the Top 10 for 36 consecutive weeks.
