Birthe Wilke
Birthe Wilke, born on March 19, 1936, in Copenhagen, is a Danish actress and
singer. As an adolescent, she won a talent contest at the National Scala Theatre
in Copenhagen and began singing with Bruno Henriksen's orchestra at Tivoli
Gardens. Her first recording was a version of "Que Sera, Sera" in 1956. In 1957,
Wilke, along with Gustav Winckler, represented Denmark at the Eurovision Song
Contest with "Skibet skal sejle i nat", finishing third out of ten participants.
She returned to the contest in 1959 as a solo artist with "Uh, jeg ville ønske
