Black Ice
Black Ice is an American no wave and deathrock band formed in Oakland,
California in 1999 by Stevenson Sedjwick and Skot Brown. Initially focusing on
acoustic instruments, samples, and found sounds, the group's early music was
primarily instrumental and was featured in local art performances. In 2001, Miss
Kel joined on lead vocals. The band released its first four-song demo in March
2002, and was later joined by Kevin Brown and Melanie X. This lineup released
the EP Eve EP in March 2003, followed by the debut studio album, Terrible Birds,
on Hungry Eye Records in June 2005. Subs...
