Named after a species of butterfly, the American band Black Moth Super Rainbow
(BMSR) was formed in 2001 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Seven Fields of
Aphelion (keyboards), Pony Diver (synthesizers), Steve SLV (bass) and Iffernaut
(drums) surround singer and producer Thomas Ec aka Tobacco. Their unique blend
of neo-psychedelic rock, lo-fi electronica, synthpop and ambient resulted in the
compilation Falling Through a Field (2003), followed by the albums Start a
People (2004), The House of Apples and Eyeballs (2006), Dandelium Gum (2007),
Eating Us (2009) and Cobra Juicy (2012)...
