Blankey Jet City were a prominent Japanese rock band formed in Tokyo in 1987
during a fertile period for the national music industry. The trio, composed of
lead vocalist and guitarist Kenichi Asai, bassist Toshiyuki Terui (aka "Bobby"),
and drummer Tatsuya Nakamura, became a defining force in rock throughout the
1990s, signing to Toshiba-EMI after winning over the nation with an appearance
