Blood Orange
Already known as Lightspeed Champion, British singer-songwriter and adopted New
Yorker Devonté Hynes (born December 23, 1985) invents a new identity with Blood
Orange. His debut album Coastal Grooves, released in 2011, demonstrates his
ability to transgress labels and genres. After penning the soundtrack to the
film Palo Alto (2014) under his own name, Devonté Hynes returned to Blood Orange
for his subsequent, more electro exercises, Cupid Deluxe (2013) and Freetown
Sound (2016).
