BOB DECHAMPS
Bob Dechamps was a Belgian singer and songwriter who was born Robert Dechamps in
1914. He performed primarily in the Walloon language and recorded his first
records during the 1930s. His early success included the song “L'acordéoneû”.
His repertoire featured works by composers and lyricists including François
Lemaire and Jacques Bertrand. Dechamps became known for his performances that
blended music with humorous monologues, often featuring the character Djosef.
