Robert Neale Lind, born on 25 November 1942 in Baltimore, Maryland, is an
American singer-songwriter known for his contributions to the 1960s folk-rock
movement. His family moved frequently due to his stepfather's career in the Air
Force, eventually settling in Denver, Colorado. While studying at Western State
College in Gunnison, Colorado, he developed an interest in folk music and
decided to pursue a career as a musician. He signed his first recording contract
