Bob Rum
Moysés Osmar da Silva, known professionally as MC Bob Rum, was born on September
10, 1969, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Growing up in Santa Cruz, he adopted his
stage name from a song about a surfer and a friend's dog. He gained national
recognition for the song "Rap do Silva" in 1995, and the compilation Rap Brasil
Vol. 2 was certified platinum. In 1996, he released his solo album Está Escrito,
featuring a single that served as the theme song for the telenovela Cristal. He
also ventured into politics, running for Rio de Janeiro City Council in 2020.
