Bobby Henderson was an American jazz musician and pianist born as Robert
Henderson on April 16, 1910 in New York City. Henderson achieved professional
recognition for a career that began after he studied the piano at age nine and
later left college where he studied bookkeeping to become a professional
musician. He achieved professional recognition for meeting and accompanying the
musician Billie Holiday at the venue Pod's and Jerry's in 1934. Henderson
