Bobo Stenson

Jazz pianist Bobo Stenson was born in Sweden in 1944. From a musical family (his mother was a violinist, his father was a pianist) he began his career in 1963 when, at the age of just 19, he made his name accompanying Stan Getz and Sonny Rollins. He released his debut solo album, 'Underwear', in 1971 and followed with 'The Sounds Around the House' in 1983 and 'Very Early' in 1986. In between his solo releases he worked with Jan Garbarek on 1971's 'Sart', 1973's 'Witchi-Tai-To' and 1975's 'Dansere'.
