Boogie Pimps, a German electronic music project, was founded in 1999 by DJs Mark
J Klak and Mirko Jacob. The duo met when Mark J Klak invited Mirko to his club
after discovering him on Antenne Thüringen radio. Their first release,
"Saltshaker", a remix of Jefferson Airplane's song, gained significant attention
as a private pressing in 2002. This led to their signing with Superstar
Recordings and the re-release of "Saltshaker" as "Somebody to Love" in 2003,
which peaked in the Top 10 of the British and Australian charts early the
