Born of Osiris
Formed in 2003 in Palatine, Illinois, the band, led by singer Ronnie Canizaro,
went by the name Diminished, before changing to Your Heart Engraved until 2006,
and then Rosecrance until 2007, when they opted for Born of Osiris. Following in
the footsteps of progressive metalcore and then deathcore, the band, who take
the Egyptian god of rebirth and transformation at the heart of their lyrics,
signed to Sumerian Records and recorded the EP The New Reign (2007), followed by
