Brian Colin Dee, born on March 21, 1936 in London, England, is an English jazz
pianist. He began his career playing at Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in 1959 and
gained prominence after joining the Jazz Five and touring nationwide opposite
Miles Davis. In 1960, he was voted Melody Maker’s 'New Star of the Year'. Dee
collaborated with notable jazz musicians, including Ben Webster, Zoot Sims, Al
Cohn, and Chet Baker. From the late 1960s, he worked extensively as a session
