Brooke Valentine
The R&B and hip-hop artist Brooke Valentine was born Kanesha Brookes in Houston,
Texas in 1984. Brookes began her professional career in the girl band Best Kept
Secret until starting a solo career in 2004.
She released her debut single 'Girlfight' in 2005 and the song, which featured
Outkast's Antwan Patton and rapper Lil John, went on to become an international
hit charting in the American, Australian, European and UK charts. The success of
the single helped launch her critically-acclaimed debut album 'Chain Letter'.
