Brutal Truth
Brutal Truth, an American grindcore band from New York City, was formed in 1990
by Dan Lilker, who had previously played bass for Anthrax and Nuclear Assault.
The group initially released the demo The Birth of Ignorance before signing with
Earache Records, where they issued their debut album Extreme Conditions Demand
Extreme Responses. Following this, Brutal Truth released several notable albums
including Need to Control (1994). The band's intense live performances included
tours with Carcass, Napalm Death, and Cathedral. In 1999, Brutal Truth disbanded
