Buren Bayaer (1960–2018) was a Chinese Mongolian singer, composer, and
journalist born in the Left Banner of New Barag, Inner Mongolia. Bayaer
performed at community events from age six and later studied at the Inner
Mongolia Arts School. In 1990, he joined China Radio International as a
Mongolian-language broadcaster and journalist. He composed the song “Lucky
Treasures” in 1994, which gained national recognition following a 2006 CCTV
Spring Festival Gala performance with his wife Wurina and niece Engema. His
