The Argentinian rock band Callejeros started out life in 1995 as a covers band
under the name Rio Verde, mostly playing standards by artists such as Chuck
Berry and Creedence Clearwater Revival.
After a six-year gestation period the band emerged as Callejeros and released
their debut album 'Sed' in 2001. It was followed up in 2003 by their second
album 'Presión', at which point the band's career began to take off. Within six
months the band were filling large venues and with a rapidly expanding fan base
Callejeros were tipped to become a major Latin rock band.
