Camilla Nylund, born June 11, 1968, in Vaasa, Finland, is a Finnish operatic
soprano. She studied musicology in Turku and voice under Eva Illes at the
Mozarteum. Her debut occurred in 1996 as the Countess in Le nozze di Figaro at
the Finnish National Opera in Helsinki. She joined the Staatsoper Hannover
ensemble, performing from 1995 to 1999 in roles such as Pamina in Die
Zauberflöte and Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte. In 1999, she transitioned to the
