Candy Claws
Candy Claws, an American dream pop group from Fort Collins, Colorado, was formed
in 2007 by Ryan Hover, Karen Hover, and Hank Bertholf. The trio shared interests
in electronic music, shoegaze rock, and classic psychedelic pop, with lyrics
often inspired by natural history. Their debut album, In the Dream of the Sea
Life, released in 2009, was influenced by Rachel Carson's book The Sea Around Us
and received positive international reviews. In 2010, they released their second
album, Hidden Lands, inspired by Richard M. Ketchum's The Secret Life of the
