Domenic Licciardello, known professionally as Carman, was born on January 19,
1956, in Trenton, New Jersey. He started performing with his mother's band at a
young age and learned to play drums and guitar. Later, after moving to Las
Vegas, he became a born-again Christian following an Andraé Crouch concert.
Carman released his debut album God’s Not Finished with Me in 1980 and signed
with Priority Records in 1982. His career included notable albums like Sunday’s
on the Way, which peaked at number 13 on the US Billboard Top Christian Albums
