Carnage
Carnage, a Swedish death metal band from Stockholm, was founded in 1988 under
the name Global Carnage by guitarist Michael Amott and bassist/singer Johan
Liiva. The group initially started as a grindcore project but evolved into an
old-school death metal act. In 1989, they released two demos, The Day Man Lost
and Infestation of Evil. By 1990, the band had undergone significant lineup
changes, with Michael Amott being the sole remaining original member for their
album, Dark Recollections, which was part of a split release with Cadaver titled
Dark Recollections / Hallucinating Anxi...
