Carol Connors
Carol Connors, born Annette Kleinbard on November 13, 1941, in New Brunswick,
New Jersey, is an American singer-songwriter. She began her career as the lead
vocalist of the Teddy Bears, a pop vocal trio that included Phil Spector. Their
breakthrough single "To Know Him Is to Love Him" (1958) reached Number 1 on the
Billboard Hot 100. After the group disbanded, she legally changed her name and
pursued her career as a songwriter. She co-wrote "Gonna Fly Now" (1976), the
theme song for the film Rocky, which earned an Academy Award nomination for Best
