Carola, real name Carola Häggkvist, is the stage name of one of Sweden's biggest
names in pop music. Born 8 September, 1966 in Stockholm, she has competed at the
Eurovision Song Contest on three occasions, winning first place in 1991 with her
song, "Fangad Av En Stormvind". Häggkvist first came to the attention of music
promoter Bert Karlsson in 1981 after performing on television series Hylands
