Carroll Thompson
Carroll Thompson, born in England, is a British lovers rock singer of Jamaican
descent. She began her musical journey with classical piano training and singing
in school and church choirs before pursuing a career in pharmacy. Thompson's
breakthrough came as a backing singer at various recording studios, leading to
her solo career debut with the independent album Hopelessly in Love in 1981.
This album featured the hit singles "I'm So Sorry" and "Simply in Love", both of
